Luke Garganis
Head of Strength & Conditioning
I am an experienced strength and conditioning coach that has worked with many athletes and teams ranging from the elite level to general populations.
My strength and conditioning coaching journey started when I completed my bachelors degree in sport and exercise science and La Trobe alongside an internship at Melbourne City Football Club. Here I developed a passion for coaching and elite sports performance.
This led me to pursue further study abroad where I completed a Masters in Strength and Conditioning at Liverpool John Moores University. Whilst in the UK I spent time working with Liverpool Football Club’s academy, where I helped facilitate the clubs long term athletic development strategies and strength and conditioning training programs for their youth teams.
During my time in Liverpool, I also worked with a variety of athletes including university championship level boxers, sprinters, and a London 2012, Paralympic 100m bronze medalist.
Upon my return to Melbourne I have been working with The Movement Institute and Heidelberg United Football Club as the Head of Strength and Conditioning. I have a great passion for strength training and I take great pride in my coaching knowledge, attention to detail and ability to adapt to the unique needs of the athlete.
